Kavish Shah is part of team mavericks which participated in the BeeUp “create your business unit in a successful enterprise” case study and emerged as the overall best team. He acquired a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from his home country, India, at Ahmedabad University and he is currently pursuing his Master's Degree in Data Analytics from Northeastern University.
In that regard, as a business professional, he likes to learn about new technologies and he is always keen to engage in design thinking sessions with his peers and other global professionals. He highlighted that this helps him to solve new emerging problems from around the world in new and old industries. With his advanced business background Kavish was able to use the different business models provided by his coach to deduce the problem that his team was tasked to solve. The alternative map, the business model canvas, and Osterwalder’s value proposition canvas made it easy to decipher the needs in the industry and how to meet them.
The business tools he used helped him to understand the customer segments that were identified and this allowed him pick the best segment that the client can effectively and efficiently offer the most value to. He was intrigued by the level of commitment his team displayed throughout the problems they incurred which helped them to emerge as one of the best teams in the competition.
Despite having a limited engineering background, Kavish is always eager to learn about new technologies because he believes that they are the solution to the current global problems. His team used advanced technological tools and equipment to simulate the solution that they proposed to confirm its feasibility. He used the coaching sessions to consult with their coach to come up with the best ideas which helped his team to formulate a unique business unit that can be applied in various engineering industries.
(BeeUp gave me a platform to interact with my team members and compete against other multidisciplinary professionals from around the world. I will always cherish the coaching sessions which allowed me to improve the knowledge and skills which I have.)
